Stairs by definition get a lot of traffic.  So quite often, carpet on the stairs needs cleaning more often, looks matted, and wears differently than the same carpet in adjacent spaces.  That directs us to the “wisdom of wood”.  When both the risers and treads are stained, the staircase will hold up best.  No “shoe scuffs” to clean or repaint on the risers.  Not to mention, it looks fantastic.

These staircase updates included the installation of iron balusters to complete the new look.
