Wood floors in master bedrooms is becoming an ever more popular trend. It connects the master bedroom seamlessly to the other significant rooms in the house. It is certainly more carefree than carpet. An area rug under the bed can address any “cold feet” concerns. Let’s be real… most likely your first stop after your feet land on the floor is the master bath, which most definitely should not have carpet. Invest in slippers if need be for that 15 second journey.
Installing wood in this first master bedroom was a difference-maker in selling this home. Most buyers of higher end homes expect wood. In the second home, my clients had already invested in their area rug, so installing wood in the master before they moved into their new home was “mandatory”.
